Despite spending my formative years in rural Texas with no internet, I have fully embraced the digital age. From coding websites to formulating digital marketing strategies to interpreting analytics, I’ve jumped in the matrix with both feet and learned to swim.

With a degree and a background in journalism and media, I’ve been able to leverage technology in newsrooms and businesses alike. I have a traveled extensively and pride myself on my ability to communicate and work with people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

I have a deep well of energy and like staying involved in many organizations, including SPJ, First Amendment Coalition of Arizona, and AZ Women in Media. I’m also active in the Phoenix tech community, participating in events such as Ignite Phoenix, TechPHX and WordCamp.

I’m a proud graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, where I interned for KTVW (the local Univision affiliate), worked on the 2008 Associated Press Elections Results Reporting Team, and was the winner of two back-to-back design scholarships from the Arizona Press Club.

I’m always looking for ways to help people understand technology and have spoken to groups over the years on topics including content marketing, web design, SEO and social media.
