Biography

Mathew Avrhami is commercial real estate entrepreneur with a passion for promoting community economic growth. He is also an avid mountain biker, husband, and father. Mathew is the VP of Acquisitions at Progress Residential, focusing on acquiring single family rental home portfolios across the country in target markets.

Previously Mathew left Rialto Capital where as Vice President of the Phoenix office responsibilities included managing day-to-day operations, recruitment, acquisitions, asset management and dispositions of direct and JV real estate investments throughout the western mountain states.

Mathews experience across the capital stack and across the major asset classes, specializes in creating value though entitlements, development, re-development, leasing, operational efficiencies, market opportunities and by applying several years of advertising and marketing experience towards repositioning and rebranding properties.

Mathew is an adjunct professor of real estate in the Finance department at Arizona State University, Chairperson of the City of Phoenix Paradise Valley Village Planning Committee, and sits on the Programs Committee of the Real Estate Advisory and Investment Council. Since joining ULI in 2007 Mathew has been an active member, and currently is a founding and executive team member of ULI NEXT. Mathew holds a Bachelors in Economics and a Masters of Real Estate Development from Arizona State University.
