The Department of Economics in the W. P. Carey School of Business at ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY (Tempe) is now inviting applications for tenure-track and tenured positions in any field of economics with appointments beginning in Fall 2016.

Essential Functions: The candidate must conduct research at the highest levels that can be published at the top journals in Economics; teach economics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level; serve as a research mentor to doctoral students; and interact effectively with colleagues to support and enhance the intellectual atmosphere of the department.

Minimum Qualifications: Possess an earned doctorate in Economics or related field or be close to earning that doctorate by the position start date; demonstrate the potential to actively publish in premier scholarly economics journals; and show evidence of teaching excellence in one or more areas of economics.

Desired Qualifications: Demonstrate an ability to publish research in premier scholarly economics journals.

Department of Economics. The Department of Economics is ranked 36th among hundreds of U.S. university economics departments, and 16th among all U.S. public universities by U.S. News & World Report.  Faculty members publish their work in the top journals of their disciplines, are key contributors to prestigious associations and editorial boards, and regularly present their research papers at major institutions and conferences around the world.
