Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

The Department of Economics in the W. P. Carey School of Business at ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY (Tempe) is now inviting applications for tenure-track and tenured positions in (1) Any field of economics and (2) Environmental and Resource Economics with appointments beginning in Fall 2017.

Essential Functions

The candidate must conduct research at the highest levels that can be published at the top journals in Economics; teach economics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level; serve as a research mentor to doctoral students; and interact effectively with colleagues to support and enhance the intellectual atmosphere of the department.

Minimum Qualifications

Possess an earned doctorate in Economics or related field or be close to earning that doctorate by the position start date; demonstrate the potential to actively publish in premier scholarly economics journals; and show evidence of teaching excellence in one or more areas of economics.

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrate an ability to publish research in premier scholarly economics journals.

Clinical Professor

The Department of Economics in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University seeks qualified applicants for Clinical Assistant Professor positions.

The positions are full-time with no tenure implications. Renewal is contingent upon availability of funds, satisfactory performance, and the needs of the university. Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications, experience, and rank.

Essential Functions

Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the department’s mission in teaching and institutional commitment and to deliver instruction of economic courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels. Professional activity of an academic nature is also expected.

Minimum Qualifications

All candidates must have a PhD in Economics and a demonstrated interest in teaching in the field of economics.

Desired Qualifications

Evidence of successful teaching activity.
