Biography

Kathleen Moser received her Ph.D. from Arizona State University in 1991. She has taught several courses at Arizona State University (ASU), Iowa State University (ISU), and Northern Arizona University (NAU) including Database Systems, Data Analytics, Project Management, Systems Analysis, Design, and Implementation, Management Information Technology and several programming classes in the graduate and undergraduate curricula.  Professor Moser has been recognized for teaching excellence on numerous occasions - as the recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award in the undergraduate Information Management track - ASU, College of Business Professor of the Year and Advisor Recognition Award - ISU, and the Advisor of the Year Award – ASU, ISU.

Professor Moser has consulted on database development and implementation for several companies in science, nutrition, manufacturing, and healthcare industries. She also spent several years in corporate training of commercial software systems in the US, Canada and abroad.

In her research, Professor Moser is currently interested in curricular design and issues for women in IT.   In her career, her focus has been on database systems, information architecture, and project management. Her publications have appeared in leading MIS journals such as Journal of Systems Management, Decision Support Systems, and Journal of Management Information Systems as well as numerous conference proceedings.
