Impact of social media and theratrical window on movies sales. Work with Dr.Peiyu-Chen and Dr.Zhan Shi, almost finish data collection part, will submit to major conference.

Real world, Virtual world and The Interplay Between Playing and Purchase. Work with Dr.Peiyu-Chen and Ying Liu, submit proposal and waiting for WCAI’s decision.

How to overcome information overload. Optimizing System structure for knowledge transmission in social networks.Work with Dr.Boris Jukic and Dr. Joseph Skufca, almost finish second round simulations and start the write-up.

Summer Intern, Product Development Team, Informz, Saratoga Springs New York (June 2013 – August 2013)

  • Assisted administration team with finding a cloud-based Human Resource Management Information System including doing initial research, arranging demos and writing analysis report.
  • Built an employee benefits management database using Access for around 70 employees.
  • Did some data aggregation and reports on Salesforce.
  • Made organization charts and seating charts.

Consultant, North Shore Solutions, Potsdam New York (August 2012 – April 2013)

  • Designed the project-management software to allow this sole-proprietor to better manage his company. Built the application using C# on Visual Studio, and a database server.

Marketing Assistant, “Knight Spot”, Potsdam, New York (August 2010 – May 2011)

  • Assumed responsibility for the creative development of promotional activities for this on-campus convenience store. Organized and led efforts to develop promotional activities.

Marketing Assistant, AIC Education, Dalian, China (June 2010 – August 2010)

  • Assisted high school students with applying to US colleges by helping students define themselves, and provided feedback on their essays; and promoted its company culture in helping Chinese students to get success with US colleges.
  • Organized tea receptions to attract potential customers; and showcased how cultural differences can be an advantage to the students and their parents. Explained AIC to potential customers.

Sales and Marketing Assistant, Beijing Genomics Institution, Shenzhen (Nov. 2009 – June 2010)

  • Hosted foreign visitors and exchange scholars for local visit and accommodation. Coordinated and organized visitors’ travel plans and itineraries during their visits.
  • Applied the manager's expense for reimbursement and collaborated with the finance department and director of sales to address instances where salesmen overspent their budgets; trained new employees on expense report policies and procedures.
  • Assisted with interviewing prospective salespeople. Collected and prepared resume packets of potential recruits, and prepared a list of questions for the interviewers.
