Biography

Mason is the Project Coordinator with the Center for the Study of Economic Liberty (CSEL), a joint research center of the W. P. Carey School of Business and School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership within The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is responsible for the external relations of the center, including but not limited to coordinating all events and public programs, marketing and communications, and any project activities; assisting the center director in execution of new Center initatives.

Prior to working with CSEL, Mason was a student at ASU where he earned is Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree as well as his bachelor of science degree in Politcal Science with a certificate in International Relations and a certificate in Public Administration and Public Management. Upon graduation, he worked in Admission Services at ASU for over three years as an admissions recruiter working primarily with low-income, first generation first-year students all across the state of Arizona. He then moved to Washington, DC to work for a political non-profit for two years as the events manager managing their three large annual national conferences working with state legislators and policy experts across the country.

Since finding his way back to ASU, he has leveraged his background in operations, communications, and strategic initiatives to find innovative ways to promote economic liberty as well as make contributions to the greater university as a whole.
