Orientation
Your W. P. Carey experience begins with program orientation prior to the start of your program. You'll meet your fellow students and teammates, as well as W. P. Carey faculty and staff, preparing you for a seamless start to graduate school.
Program operations
Focus on your studies while we focus on the student experience. Our dedicated team will help you with the resources you need to be successful in the classroom through academic advising, course enrollment, and navigating the policy and process of being a student. We also work closely with you and your peers to host events and opportunities to keep you connected and engaged throughout.
Extracurricular activities
Make the most of your time outside the classroom. Activities for MTax students include:
Mentorship
Meet W. P. Carey alumni who can provide insight on grad school and your career path. You can work with an ongoing mentor and “flash mentors” to help you find your way.
CPA exam prep
Prepare for the CPA exam while completing your degree. With the help of a robust student-organized network, many students pass several or all parts of the exam while still a grad student.
Meet the Firms career fair
Network with employers from approximately 50 companies, including many large accounting, consulting, and S&P 500 corporations. Held in the fall, Meet the Firms is an excellent opportunity to discuss potential full-time offers or internships. Other school-sponsored career events take place throughout the year, giving you multiple venues to showcase your strengths and target prospective employers.
Beta Alpha Psi
Join the ASU chapter of the national accounting business fraternity. BAP seeks to recognize outstanding academic achievement and develop its members' professionalism through career-oriented, social and community activities.
MTax Ambassadors
An important link for prospective and current students, Ambassadors give you access to current W. P. Carey graduate students, who can fill you in on application tips, returning to school, and how the W. P. Carey School prepares you for your career.
