How to apply
To be eligible for admission, you must possess a four-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, and have successfully completed either of the following prerequisites:
- W. P. Carey Certificate in Foundations of Supply Chain Management
- W. P. Carey Certificate in Procurement Management
- MITx MicroMasters® Program in Supply Chain Management
Additionally, you must have earned a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (scale is 4.0 = "A") in the last 60 hours of your first bachelor's degree program, or a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA (scale is 4.0 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program.
Application materials
- Graduate admission application and application fee
- Official transcripts
- Acknowledgment of a completed W. P. Carey certificate (Foundations of Supply Chain Management or Procurement Management) or edX learner transcript
- One professional letter of recommendation
- Resume – Current resume must include positions held and clearly indicate dates of employment in Month/Year format.
- Admission essay – The admission committee would like to learn more about you, your background, and your goals. These short essay questions help us evaluate applicants beyond the black and white of test scores and GPA requirements. Personal statements will not be accepted and will delay the review of the application.
Additional application information
- To be eligible for credits to transfer, you must complete each course in the W. P. Carey Certificate in Foundations of Supply Chain Management or the W. P. Carey Certificate in Procurement Management with a B or better, or complete the MIT MicroMasters® program in supply chain management with an 80% or better.
- The letter of recommendation should comment on your motivation, commitment, achievements, work experience, and opportunity for success in the program.
Application deadlines
All required application documents must be on file by the date of each deadline, or your application may be moved to the next round. Applications for Spring 2026 admission will be accepted on a rolling basis until December 15, 2025. Applications for Fall 2026 admission will be accepted on a rolling basis until July 15, 2026. Decision notifications will be made within three weeks of a completed application, and an enrollment deposit will be due following program admission.
