The Real Estate certificate at W. P. Carey
The Real Estate certificate from the W. P. Carey School of Business is created for those who are seeking more knowledge and understanding of real estate. The certificate encompasses foundational courses in real estate education including valuation, investment, finance, law, and development. The certificate is intended to provide the understanding necessary for critical thinking and application within the field of real estate. The certificate will not apply to any outside licensing programs.
The curriculum includes an applied experience that partners classroom knowledge with experiential learning to further develop the requisite skills students need to succeed as real estate professionals in the built environment. A capstone class is included to evaluate the ability to apply knowledge to a specific property and determine how to best optimize its value for the owner. The capstone will culminate in a written report and presentation.
