ASU accounting degrees
Degree comparison - BS Accountancy vs BA Corporate Accounting
We offer two undergraduate degree programs in accounting. One is a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, which is offered on the Tempe and West campuses and also via ASU Online. The other is a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a concentration in Corporate Accounting, which is only offered via ASU Online. The primary difference is that the Accountancy program focuses more on public accounting (audit, tax, consulting), whereas the Corporate Accounting program focuses more on managerial and in-house corporate accounting. As a result, the Accountancy program is more aligned with helping students prepare for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, whereas the Corporate Accounting program is more aligned with helping students prepare for the Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) or the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designations.
