For more than three decades, the Economic Club of Phoenix (ECP) has brought together the best thinking from business, labor, academia, and the public sector to discuss current issues affecting the Phoenix area and beyond. ECP Luncheon Topic: With more than 1,100 member schools nationwide, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and its members are united around one goal: creating opportunities for college athletes. The NCAA is dedicated to the lifelong success of college athletes, and prioritizes academics, well-being and fairness for nearly a half a million student-athletes. Mark Emmert, NCAA president since 2010, will discuss the challenges and opportunities in leading this complex organization and its critical role in interpreting legislation, running championships, student safety and managing programs that benefit student-athletes overall.
