ASU-Draper University Entrepreneurship Incubator Program

The ASU-Draper University Entrepreneurship Incubator Program immerses you in an environment where innovation thrives, through a unique in-residence experience featuring ASU faculty and curriculum at Draper University in San Mateo, California. In just nine months, you’ll gain the tools and knowledge to launch and grow your own startup, and turn powerful ideas into reality.

A Revolutionary Partnership for Student Entrepreneurs

A 9-month program designed to help you successfully launch a startup business, the ASU-Draper University Entrepreneurship Incubator Program introduces you to Draper University’s Hero Training, team challenges, and all-star entrepreneurial speakers. Take business and engineering classes to establish a strong framework for your startup idea, then pitch it to investors in Silicon Valley.

Join the pilot entrepreneurship incubator program — launching in September 2016 — to build a successful foundation for your business:

  • Develop critical thinking skills
  • Learn how to work in a team setting and manage other people
  • Identify critical problems and present innovative solutions
  • Conduct market analyses and determine your competitive advantage
  • Develop financial projections and fundraising plans for investors
  • Understand the legal components of business operations
  • Learn new tech skills such as programming, modeling and 3D printing
  • Establish connections with experts and mentors

Curriculum

Students in the Entrepreneurship Incubator Program will take nine credit hours of required coursework onsite each semester and up to six hours of online elective coursework. Required courses are designed to develop your entrepreneurial and technical thinking, while electives allow you to choose supplemental coursework that align with your specific interests.

Fall Semester

Required courses — 9 credit hours

Elective courses — 6 hours

  • CIS 394: Media and Virtual Reality
  • MGT 440: Entrepreneurship
  • WPC 480: W. P. Carey Capstone

Program Costs

Tuition for the ASU-Draper University Entrepreneurship Incubator Program is your normal ASU tuition and fees, plus a $13,000 program fee for students with a scholarship for the program. This program fee includes 30 hours of course work, room, board, and Draper experiential programming at San Mateo, Calif. The program fee for ASU students not awarded a scholarship will be approximately $35,000.
