Grading

Course grades will be determined as follows:

Course Completion (a grade of P)

Students who successfully complete all of the course requirements including the assignments, quizzes, and required discussion board posts, will be graded with a "Passing" grade.

Completion with Distinction (a grade of D)

Students who exceed course requirements and demonstrate outstanding performance, will be graded with a "Distinction" grade. Receiving a "Completion with Distinction" is based on the Course Lead's subjective assessment of each participant's performance in the course, relative to the performance of other individuals in the class. Course Leads will consider the extent to which the individual's assignments and discussion board contributions demonstrated use of the concepts from the course and the extent to which the discussion board postings added significant value to the class learning experience.

Incomplete (a grade of I)

Students who do not participate in course discussion boards, complete course quizzes and who do not fully complete the course assignments, will be graded with an "Incomplete" grade. Late work is not accepted – assignments must be submitted by the due date – contact your Course Lead with any questions regarding late work. If you receive a grade of "Incomplete", manager approval to continue in the Certificate program is required. A second grade of "Incomplete" will result in removal from the program. For more information on re-taking courses, please contact your Honeywell Program Representative.
