Program Overview

Delivered 100% online, the W. P. Carey Online MSIM develops critical leadership skills as you learn how digital innovations can disrupt existing business models and enable organizational transformations. Through a cutting-edge curriculum, the Online MSIM deepens your problem-solving skills and prepares you to incorporate information systems, data analytics, and emerging technologies into enterprise strategy and operations.

A perfect fit for your schedule and goals

The W. P. Carey School of Business launched its first online program in 2003. In the years since, thousands of students have chosen W. P. Carey to help them pursue a degree that can make a real difference in their lives, while maintaining the flexibility of earning their degree while they work. Our online programs have been an ideal solution for military students stationed abroad, international students, busy working professionals from out of state, and even Arizona residents who either need or simply prefer to study online.

The Online MSIM is a perfect fit for students with two or more years of professional experience. The program builds on the knowledge you already have and builds toward a culminating capstone project. Along the way, you’ll learn in a one-course-at-a-time model that allows you to focus on your studies while juggling work and personal responsibilities.

The lock-step approach to the Online MSIM curriculum ensures that you’ll learn concepts that weave together to create a stronger body of knowledge, and you’ll study and work on projects with teammates whenever it’s most convenient for you. The program starts in January and takes 16 months to complete, meaning you’ll graduate the following May. Although you take all of your coursework online, there is one required on-campus orientation at the beginning of the program and, of course, you’re welcome to join your classmates on campus for graduation.

A variety of career opportunities

Typical positions for our graduates include systems analysts within information systems, finance, or operations functions, IT managers, and technology officers both within and outside the IT industry.
