CLAS - Grade Distributions
Grade Distributions for Principles of Economics & Business Statistics
Students can now access data on grade distributions through a variety of web sites. Often times the data reported on these web sites is inaccurate or misleading.
In order to provide students with accurate information on grade distributions in our lower-division courses, below we have posted grade distribution information for principles of macroeconomics, microeconomics, and business statistics. This table is based on data compiled over the past four semesters.
The data reported below is meant to provide students information on of what type of grade distributions they can expect in a typical lower-division economics course. However, one primary goal of the Department of Economics is to improve student performance while maintaining academic standards and, as a result, we hope that over time our efforts will lead to an even greater success rate.
