P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University recognizes that today’s students, the “Millenials,” are different from past generations. They enter college with unique expectations and skills. They view technology as an extension of who they are and often use it as a way to reflect on their own experiences. They have worked in groups and on teams since kindergarten. They are diligent and want to help others. This is a very good start. At the W. P. Carey School of Business, we expect students to use technology, to work together in teams, to be ethical. Employers tell us they need students who are mature, responsible, and accountable for their actions. Our excellent faculty, highly qualified and diverse staff, global business and academic partners, and you, the parents, get them there. Our goal is to educate students who will go into the business world and be leaders in their fields no matter what path they choose. We want you to be comfortable and pleased with the idea of sending your most valuable asset, your child, to the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. We have a variety of resources in place to help you understand the entire university process from admissions and orientation programs, to student engagement and involvement opportunities, to internships and employment options. We welcome your questions and your concerns. As you know, the university is guided by FERPA regulations as far as providing information about students, even your own – no matter who pays the bills, but if you’d like to talk about opportunities, dates and deadlines, the W.
