Transfer Students

Bachelor of Science Degrees:

If you are a student applying to the W. P. Carey School of Business Bachelor of Science Degree program, you are eligible for direct admission if you have met the following requirements:

  • ASU transfer student admission requirements
  • An SAT (math + critical reasoning sections only) score of 1160 or an ACT composite score of 25 or a high school class rank in the top 8%
  • A 3.0 cumulative ASU GPA (if you have attended ASU)
  • A 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA (if you have attended another institution)
  • Minimum grade requirements must be met for all critical tracking courses taken (*applicable only if student falls under critical tracking requirements)

Bachelor of Art Degrees:

If you are a student applying to the W. P. Carey School of Business Bachelor of Arts Degree program, you are eligible for direct admission if you have met the following requirements:

  • ASU transfer student admission requirements
  • A 3.0 cumulative ASU GPA (if you have attended ASU)
  • A 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA
  • Minimum grade requirements must be met for all critical tracking courses taken (*applicable only if student falls under critical tracking requirements)

Note:  All transfer students must submit either an SAT (math + critical reasoning sections only) test score or an ACT composite test score (we do not require the writing portion of these tests) by the end of their first semester at ASU. There is no minimum test score requirement for the Bachelor of Arts Degree options.

* All students who have been classified as Freshman at any Arizona public institution during Fall 2007 or later must follow eAdvisor/Criticial Tracking Requirements.  Please see the following link for each major map:  https://webapp.asu.edu/eadvisor/MajorMaps.html

Portfolio Admission Process:

If you do not meet the direct admission requirements for either the B.A. or B.S. Degree Programs, you may submit a portfolio application to the W. P. Carey School of Business Undergraduate Programs Office.  Your portfolio will be reviewed by the department that you have specified on your application - please note that this is a competitive admissions process and admission is not guaranteed.  If you are transferring from another institution, you must be admitted to ASU before submitting your portfolio.  Portfolio submission deadlines may be viewed at the Admission Portfolio web site.
