Management Major Requirements

For Information on an optional concentration in Entrepreneurship for Management Majors, click here.

The Management major should have a strong emphasis on collaboration, leadership, communication, team building, and major group projects with the community in not-for-profit and for-profit business settings. The newly revised curriculum begins with the global supply operations course—an immersion in the fundamentals of the global economy, the world of e-business, and collaborative teams. Students are encouraged to concurrently enroll in the introductory courses on collaborative team skills and managing people in organizations during their first semester. Throughout the program, understanding of theory and concepts of management are enhanced by experiencing and testing these concepts in skill-based exercises, case discussions, and team-based project work in the classroom and in the community.

Graduation Requirements

Students in the Professional Program are required to complete a Declaration of Graduation upon completing 87 semester hours (Please see an advisor first). Students who have not met this requirement are prevented from further registration. Your advisor will review your degree audit and assist you with your Declaration of Graduation. Most students complete a Declaration of Graduation as a course requirement in WPC 301 in the first semester in the Professional Program.
