 Edward C. Prescott, W. P. Carey Chair in Economics and winner of the 2004 Nobel Prize in economics, was selected in 2008 as a member of the prestigious National Academy of Sciences. The Washington, D.C.-based academy advises the federal government on matters of science and technology. |  Amy Hillman, Jerry and Mary Ann Chapman Professor of Business and Chair of the Management Department, won top W. P. Carey teaching awards in 2008. She won the Outstanding Professor Award -- Doctoral Programs and the Outstanding Teaching Award – MBA and Master's Programs. |  James Ohlson, W. P. Carey Chair of Accountancy, was named an ASU Regents' Professor in 2008, the highest faculty honor awarded at ASU. It is conferred on faculty members who have made pioneering contributions in their areas of expertise and who have achieved a sustained level of distinction. |  Amy Ostrom, an associate professor of marketing and an Honors Program Ford Faculty Fellow, is one of ASU's top teachers. Ostrom was chosen 2007 ASU Parents Association Professor of the Year because of her passion for teaching and her creative research activity.
