APPLE  (Academy Peer Programmers for Leadership Engagement)

APPLE is a group of W. P. Carey Academy students who aim to enthusiastically increase the visibility, sense of community, and student engagement of and within the W. P. Carey Academy.  Each month during the fall and spring semesters, APPLEs are tasked to plan, organize, market, and implement one social activity and one academic activity exclusively for Carey Academy students.  These activities provide both social and academic benefits to Academy students as well as promote interaction among students, faculty, and staff within the W. P. Carey Academy.  All planned events are FREE for Academy students.

Some of the activities include:

• Fall Academy Welcome back event
• Faculty lectures and mixers
• Guest speakers
• Outdoor athletics (volleyball, flag football, capture the flag) and intramurals
• Broomball
• Tutoring sessions

Academy students will receive an authentic APPLE t-shirt for attending at least one APPLE sponsored event.  Students are then encouraged to wear their APPLE t-shirt to other APPLE events throughout the year.
