International Business Certificate
As globalization continues to impact the way we live and do business, international studies become vital to our success in almost any field. The W. P. Carey School of Business encourages all undergraduate students to pursue opportunities for global engagement and offers the International Business Certificate to both business and non-business majors of Arizona State University.
The International Business Certificate is a great enhancement to any undergraduate degree. Benefits include:
- Expansion of knowledge and understanding of the global economy
- Diversity of opportunities upon graduation
- Acquisition of business skills applicable in different cultural and social contexts
- Study Abroad encouraged but not required for completion of certificate
- With planning, can be completed without taking extra course work

Requirements of the International Business Certificate:
- Nine-credit hours of international business courses which must include either MGT 302 or ECN 306
- Nine-credit hours of non-business "Global" coursework
- The equivalent of one year of college-level foreign language
- Minimum grade point average of 2.5 with no grade lower than C in courses applied toward the certificate
- All business credits must be taken through the W. P. Carey School of Business or on an approved ASU international study program
