Certificate in Honors Business Modeling and Analysis
Overview
Honors students at the W. P. Carey School of Business, or honors students who are majoring in Economics at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, are eligible to pursue the Certificate in Honors Business Modeling and Analysis. This certificate is designed to enhance knowledge in a student’s major while also adding to the student’s understanding of business strategy in a global market. To earn the certificate, students must fulfill their own program’s requirements as well as selected related field courses.
Benefits
Earning this certificate will reinforce students’ skills in areas such as:
- Critical Thinking and problem solving.
- Business judgment.
- Advanced quantitative analysis
- Conceptualization and communication of strategic solutions.
Requirements
The program consists of at least 24 hours of course work distributed between economics and related fields show below. Only courses in which a student receives a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher may be used to meet the certificate requirements. Students must meet all prerequisites and course requirements as listed in the catalog. At least 15 credits must be ASU credit.
- Statistics (3 hours)
- Economic Theory (3 hours)
- Accounting (3 hours)
- Honors Business Core (6 hours)
- Business Modeling and Analysis (3 hours)
- Honors Directed Study and Creative Project (6 hours)
