Automotive Entrepreneurs and Leaders Certificate

Learn to integrate the functions of business through an in-depth examination of the largest single industry in the U.S.A. You will acquire the expertise needed to become a successful entrepreneur in any industry while focusing on your personal leadership skills. Each course features numerous presentations by corporate executives, industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs.

  • You learn the workings of a single industry through coursework dealing with the challenge of creating strategy in a dynamic global economy and the difficulty of managing operations in a highly uncertain world.
  • Coursework is focused on business management and operations, current issues and trends in the automotive industry and the role of the sustainability revolution in the automotive industry.

Requirements

Individual courses are open to all students:

  • MGT 494 Sustainable Dealership Management (3 credits –spring semester)
  • MGT 494/294 Human Resources (1 credit – fall semester second half)
  • MGT 494/294 Customer Service (1 credit – spring semester first half)
  • MGT 494/294 Accounting & Finance (1 credit – spring semester second half)
  • MGT 484 Automotive Internship (3 credits – fall, spring, or summer semester)
  • 6 credit hours of upper division business or economics courses 

Course overlap with a major

6 credits of the certificate may generally be used within a business major (check with your advisor)
