Freshman Admissions
In order to be accepted as a W. P. Carey School of Business undergraduate student you must first apply to Arizona State University and select a W. P. Carey business degree program.
Bachelor of Science Requirements
Freshman applicants who meet the requirements for ASU freshman admission and who meet one of the following three criteria may be directly admitted to the W. P. Carey School of Business Bachelor of Science degree programs:
- An SAT (math and critical reading sections only) score of 1160
- An ACT composite score of 25
- A high school class ranking in the top 8 percent.
Bachelor of Arts Requirements
Freshman applicants who meet the requirements for ASU freshman admission are eligible for direct admission to the W. P. Carey School of Business Bachelor of Arts degree program. To be admitted to ASU, you must be a high school graduate and meet one of the following four criteria:
- 3.0 GPA in competency courses
- Top 25 percent of high school class
- ACT score of 22 (24 nonresidents)
- SAT reasoning score of 1040 (1110 nonresidents)
Note: All freshmen must submit either an SAT (math and critical reading sections only) test score or an ACT composite test score (we do not require the writing portion of these tests) by the end of their first semester at ASU. There is no minimum test score requirement for the Bachelor of Arts degree options.
