The official name of the school is W. P. Carey School of Business

The initials W. P. are always capitalized, with periods following each letter and a space between the W. and P.
The phrase school of business in the name W. P. Carey School of Business is capitalized only when preceded by W. P. Carey.
The name W. P. Carey is always used as one expression. The name Carey is not used without the initials W. P.

When writing about the school, please follow these guidelines:

The article the preceding W. P. Carey School of Business is lowercase when used within a sentence.
In the first reference, the full name of the school is preferred: W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University or W. P. Carey School of Business.
When a subsequent, shortened reference for the school is needed, the terms W. P. Carey or W. P. Carey School are encouraged.
