-
Excel Options
Start Microsoft Office 2007 and click on the Office Button, then click the Excel Options button at the bottom.

-
Active / Inactive Add-ins
Click on the Add-Ins section from the left navigation bar of the new Excel Options window. This will show all Active and Inactive Add-ins. Click the Go button at the bottom.

-
Select Add-ins
From the Add-Ins window check the needed add-ins. The basic set of add-ins include Analysis ToolPak, Analysis ToolPak-VBA and Solver Add-in. These provide the basic functions for Data Analysis and Solver. If you have installed Palisade software you can enable the @Risk add-in. Once the Add-ins are checked, click the OK button to enable.

-
Installation Confirmation
Excel will install the selected add-ins using the cached CAB file on your laptop. Excel will prompt to confirm you want the selected add-ins installed. Click the Yes button to continue installing. You should receive this prompt for each of the add-ins selected.

-
Accessing New Add-ins
Once the installation process is complete, new add-ins will appear on the Excel Ribbon bar. On the Data tab, a new Analysis section will be added to the Ribbon bar. Data Analysis and Solver will appear in this new Analysis section. You should now be able to access the features of these new add-ins.
