1OS Maintenance

Graduate Business IT (GBIT) will return the computer's operating system to a working state of the version residing on the computer, or upgrade it to a version provided to us by the student and supported by the manufacturer.

2Examples of OS Maintenance

Example, a student has Vista on their laptop and wants Windows 7. If the student provides GBIT the media and the manufacturer supports Windows 7 then we will install it.
Example, a student has Windows XP installed on their laptop but does not have the media. GBIT will attempt to return the laptop to a working install of the same version of XP using the license that came with the laptop. GBIT will use our media.

3Troubleshoot

GBIT will try to make sure that the services and resources needed to meet the requirements of the program are functioning correctly. The operating system must be in English, and the user must have full administravie rights to the computer.
