Installing and Using Skype
Installation on Mac OS X
1. Browse to http://www.skype.com/go/download
2. Click Download Now
3. If you have an existing Skype account, click Sign in. If you do not then proceed to step 4
3a. Enter your Skype username and password
3b. Click Sign me in
4. If you do not have a Skype account then fill out the account creation form
4a. After the last field, click I agree - Continue
5. The file will be saved to your regular download location
6. The Skype.dmg file should automatically open. Drag the Skype icon into the Applications folder
***NOTE*** You may want to drag the Skype icon from your applications folder to your Dock if you plan to open it frequently
Section 2 of 4: Using Skype on Mac OS X
1. Launch Skype
2. Enter your Skype Name
3. Enter your Password
4. Verify Remember password is checked
5. Click Sign In
6. Enter the Skype Name, or phone number, of who you wish to call in the search field
7. Click the Search icon next to the name
8. Click Call

Section 3 of 4: Installation on Windows
1. Browse to http://www.skype.com/go/download
2. Click Download Now
3. If you have an existing Skype account, click Sign in. If you do not then proceed to step 4
3a. Enter your Skype username and password>
3b. Click Sign me in
4. If you do not have a Skype account then fill out the account creation form
4a. After the last field, click I agree - Continue
5. Click the Information bar at the top
6. Click Download File
7. Click Save
8. Verify the desired save location. Click Save
9. Browse to the desired location
10. Double click on SkypeSetup
11. Click Yes on the User Account Control warning
12. Click I agree - install
13. Uncheck both boxes for installing additional software
14. Click Continue installing Skype
15. When the installation is complete, click Finish
Section 4 of 4: Using Skype on Windows
1. Launch Skype
2. Enter your Skype Name
3. Enter your Password
4. Verify Sign me in when Skype starts is checked
5. Uncheck Start skype when computer starts
6. Click Sign in
7. Before calling anyone on the Windows Skype Client, they must be added as a contact. To add somebody as a contact in Skype for Windows please follow the steps outlined at https://support.skype.com/faq/FA3281/How-do-I-add-and-import-contacts
