Software & Data - Market Insight

Market Insight provides industry, country, and as-reported company data.   It also provides access to ExecuComp, which is an Access database of executive compensation.  Market Insight is a product of Standard & Poor's which is a division of McGraw-Hill, Inc. Market Insight is available to any computer within the asu.edu domain (including ASU West and ASU East).

Accessing Market Insight

Market Insight is available through the Internet, at http://umi.compustat.com.

If your screen says "Getting Started" on the left side of the page, then you can begin using the service. Registration is NOT necessary. You can click on any of the tabs to get a feel for what is available. To download the ExecuComp database, in the tab named Home, scroll down until you see "ExecuComp clients, learn how to download the complete Access database" on the right side of the screen. This will give you downloading instructions. The database size is 62 MB.
