VPN and Remote Desktop Available to: Graduate Students, Faculty and Staff VPN ASU provides VPN (Virtual Private Network) access to campus. Most network resources at ASU and from BIT have been configured to not require VPN but certain applications demand a private connection. Individuals should install the VPN client only after consulting with BIT to verify no other configuration or alternative exists as this program installation is very intrusive Visit the ASU Techbase for detailed information about VPN. Remote Desktop Certain software and configuration settings require that a user connect directly to their Office computer. Remote Desktop allows a user to access their Office computer from a remote location. Remote Desktop is direct control of the Office computer, it is just like being in the office. Users should contact the Technical Assistance Center to request Remote Desktop ability.
