Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- A test score from the GMAT (GRE, MCAT, DAT, PCAT also accepted) taken no more than five years prior to the application. PCAT scores are not gathered via the ASU Graduate College and should be emailed directly to Beth.Ellis@asu.edu.

- Applicants with a PhD, MD, DO, PharmD or DDS are not required to submit a test score. Students submitting an LSAT score are required to show evidence of college-level quantitative coursework (e.g. statistics, calculus) completed with a grade of B or higher.
- An undergraduate GPA that demonstrates strong academic achievement, with sustained competency in quantitative areas (mathematics, algebra, calculus, statistics and/or accounting courses). If the applicant has 12 or more graduate units, the GPA will be based on graduate units.
- Three recommenders, such as, employers, supervisors and professors.

- Provide your recommender name and email address in the Graduate College online application.
- For international applicants whose native language is not English, a minimum TOEFL score of 80. We only consider iBT TOEFL scores.
- Responses to 3 Essay Questions. The limit for the Essay Questions is 500 words. Click here to see the questions: Essay Questions. Essays are uploaded in the Graduate College online application.
Recommended
- One undergraduate course in each of biological sciences and social sciences
- A GMAT score of 580 or higher
- A GRE score of 1180 or higher
- A GPA of 3.4 or better
ASU's GMAT Institutional Code is 0GZ-1R-80.
ASU's GRE and TOEFL Institutional Code is 4007. The Department code for the GRE is 0000 and 99 for the TOEFL.
Application Deadlines- Cohorts begin in the fall of each year
- Applications are accepted December 1 - June 1 of each year and are reviewed monthly. Applicants will be notified within one month of review.
- Applications must be submitted online at http://asu.edu/gradapp. Select the option for Master in Health Sector Management (MHSM). The application fee is $70 for domestic students and $90 for international students.
- A credit card (Visa or MasterCard), a U.S. check or money order payable to Arizona State University, or cash (if paying in person) are acceptable methods of application fee payment.
- If you are not a U.S. citizen and in the U.S., ASU requires a copy of your current visa. The copy can be faxed to 480.965.5158.
- All international students must complete a Financial Guarantee form regardless of funding. The form can be found at http://graduate.asu.edu/forms/index.html.

Research Assistantships
The School of Health Management & Policy offers a limited number of merit-based MHSM Research Assistant positions each year.
