Mission and Overview The Health Supply Chain Initiatives consist of a series of university-based activities designed to improve the performance of the health sector supply chain. The initiatives include research, graduate level education, executive education, information dissemination, and technical assistance to organizations in supply chain development. The work is carried out with partners at the University of Bath (England) and the Center for Health Management Research. This announcement pertains to the mission, goals, and funding of the Health Sector Supply Chain Research Consortium – the principal knowledge development effort related to the Health Sector Supply Chain Initiatives. The Health Sector Supply Chain Research Consortium seeks to conduct and disseminate action research in tactical and strategic supply chain management that is responsive to industry-wide needs and opportunities, and will raise the standard of management and policy practice.
