The Center for Advancing Business through Information Technology (CABIT) leverages public-private-academic partnerships to contribute rigorous, relevant research to partnering organizations. This research enhances business processes, workflow and quality of service. I am proud to be a part of such a dynamic, energetic Center. The base of all work conducted here at the CABIT begins with a strong core group of faculty and staff. We have gathered the best and brightest in the W. P. Carey School of Business and from the ASU community at large to create, plan and implement the vision of this center. We however could not have achieved success without interfacing with organizations such as Intel Corporation, Catholic Healthcare West, Cisco Systems, Maricopa County Department of Public Health, State Farm, Arizona Department of Health Services, AHCCCS and the United States Army ISEC. It is with great pleasure that I can report the high levels of satisfaction reported back by our partners who have consistently indicated the significant value add provided by our interactions. Throughout this web site you will be able to learn more about our work by reviewing our research and the working paper series, reading CABIT’s annual newsletter TecKnowledge, and browsing the special issue on Security at Knowledge@WPCarey dedicated to CABIT’s 2005 Symposium. And this is just the beginning! We have much more in the works and will continue to share our latest findings with you. Our research is augmented by a series of special events hosted by CABIT. Those events include our annual Symposium series, Round Table discussions, and single speaker events featuring high ranking executives from Fortune 500 companies. Attendees are provided a great opportunity to keep up on the latest technology trends and network with their peers. I thank you for taking the time to learn more about CABIT.
