| CABIT's success is founded on a collaborative value proposition shaped by stakeholder sponsors. Sponsors provide the principal source of funding for the Center, steer the direction of new Center research, and provide feedback on the current research agenda and outcomes. Sponsors are privy to the earliest possible release of new research, they are involved in collaborative research projects, and sponsors have access to the best and brightest students from both undergraduate and graduate Information Technology programs through Center affiliated events including an annual Security Symposium. Student internships, applied projects and other innovative educational programs provide sponsors with opportunities to guide curriculum and see first-hand the performance of prospective employees at the time when those students are nearing graduation. CABIT has recently formed an industry advisory board composed of select sponsors who help in formulating research strategy and academic thrusts for the center. A faculty advisory board will augment the efforts of the industry advisory board to review, assess and channel efforts to meet the CABIT mission. Sponsors are eligible for customized research projects on a contractual basis. The W. P. Carey School of Business appoints CABIT's Director. The Center Director is required to be a member of the W. P. Carey School of Business faculty and will appoint the Center's faculty affiliates. - Faculty affiliates are selected from a variety of disciplinary areas within the W. P.
