The foundation for CABIT's success is its commitment to enabling industry-academic collaboration. By bringing together dedicated scholars to work with industry leaders, CABIT's efforts strengthen both communities.
Collaboration has happened at many levels:
Faculty: A significant number of the W. P. Carey School of Business Faculty have participated in CABIT events and on CABIT projects. These scholars value the industry interactions to insure that their research is relevant and that they are able to produce results that are validated in leading organizations.
Member Firms: CABIT has developed strong relationships with several firms that have become CABIT members. These firms enjoy a much closer relationship with CABIT faculty, opportunities for co-branding activities and efforts, and the ability to guide CABIT's activities in the future.
Industry Organizations: CABIT has relationships with several industry organizations. For example, CABIT faculty have become involved in the Electronics Industry Data Exchange organization, first as speakers at their events and now as participants on industry task forces. CABIT has also hosted industry meetings on campus and facilitated strategic projects for organizations. We are always looking for opportunities to develop other such relationships.
Industry Leaders: CABIT has provided opportunities for industry leaders to interact to strengthen their firms. The Showcase Series, for example, attracts approximately 15-20 leaders to campus monthly, along with expert speakers who can introduce topics, provide insights into solutions, and facilitate discussions among the participants.
