The Center for Advancing Business through Information Technology

Center Goals and Mission Statement

The goal of the center is to foster synergistic, interdisciplinary research within the School of Business and to reach out to faculty colleagues throughout ASU who share a common interest. The Center has multiple research and educational objectives. Several educational and research initiatives have begun. In addition, an extensive effort to identify and enlist optimal corporate partners and identify with those partners a tactical and strategic research agenda is underway.

Invitation to the Business Community

W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University through CABIT, extends an open invitation to the business community both here in Phoenix and beyond to participate in this exciting new venture. The plan is to develop a close working relationship between the academic research community and counterparts from industry. A variety of possibilities for partnerships are being developed. The takeaways envisioned for the participants include:

  • Company-focused research jointly developed by ASU researchers and the corporate partners;
  • Executive workshops and training that are state of the art for information technology and customized for the context;
  • Networking opportunities with companies within and across industries bound by their common interest in information technology and its implications for their operations;
  • Participation in round table discussions with leading futurists both from industry and academia.

Many thanks to all who made Symposium 2006 such a success!
