Staff Development Group Annual Awards “Doing good while doing well” A Tradition of Recognition Each year the W. P. Carey Staff Development Group celebrates and recognizes the staff at the annual luncheon each May. Criteria for Nominations are: - Individuals and teams who exemplify the best in professionalism, character and leadership.
- Awardees include people who routinely exceed expectations as they fulfill their assignments, and as they support students, faculty and fellow staff members. They have played key roles in creating excellence at all levels in the school, and have brought us all closer together through their friendship.
Who May Nominate All faculty and staff at the W. P. Carey School may nominate for these awards. Selection All nominations will be reviewed by the SDG Awards Committee. The final decision will be made by the Dean. All nominees and awards will be presented by the dean at the annual potluck luncheon on May 25th. The Awards - Dean’s Staff Recognition Award - $1,000 - The highest award presented to a staff member, the Dean’s Staff Recognition Award spotlights a person who has promoted the W. P. Carey School’s service culture and values at an optimum level. This person creates a positive atmosphere, uses initiative and innovation to improve service to others, and contributes significantly to the school.
- Staff Service Award - $750 - This award recognizes an individual who has promoted a positive atmosphere, used initiative and innovation to improve service, or contributed in specific ways to the success of the school and its units.
- W. P. Carey School of Business Team Award Lunch- This award is presented to teams of two or more people whose ability to work together has produced significant improvements and/or change, and who have advanced the school’s mission to excel in service.
How to Nominate: When nominating a staff member please submit an example of how this individual or team who exemplify the best in professionalism, character and leadership or who routinely exceed expectations as they fulfill their assignments, and as they support students, faculty and fellow staff members. The nomination should be between 150-500 words. You may nominate individuals and/or teams for these awards. Please use the online nomination form.
