School of Business General Scholarship Application

Deadline:  January 30, 2009 by midnight

If you are interested in scholarship opportunities for 2009-2010, please consider completing the general scholarship application through the school of business. The school of business offers general and departmental scholarships. All undergraduate business students are encouraged to apply.  Scholarships are available to all students ranging from incoming freshmen to seniors.  Scholarship awards are based on need, merit and/or involvement and award amounts range from $500 - $5,000 .

All students apply through the W. P. Carey School of Business General Scholarship Application which is available on the web at: http://wpcarey.asu.edu/undergraduate/current-students/scholarships/applications.cfm. Students submit the online application electronically each academic year.

The deadline is January 30, 2009 no later than midnight.

The McCord Scholars Scholarship

Due Date: February 27, 2009 by 5:00 pm
The McCord Scholars program was established by the McCord Family in 2007 year. Scholarships are awarded to those students who demonstrate excellent academic ability, strong leadership skills and an interest in business studies.

Criteria
All applicants must:

1. Be admitted to a degree program within the W. P. Carey School of Business at the junior or senior class level.
2. Be pursuing a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester and making regular progress toward a four-year undergraduate degree.
3. Demonstrate leadership abilities and involvement in student and professional organizations.
4.Complete the Academic Budget form as part of the application process. Financial need is considered.
5. Have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
6. Be an Arizona resident.
7. Have the ability and desire to serve as mentors to top incoming freshmen. If selected, scholars will be paired with a mentee and responsible for meeting with student six times a year: beginning, mid-term and end of each semester.
8. Applicants will be notified at the end of March if they have been selected as a finalist to interview for the award.
