Graduate Career Center - Employment Statistics

Employment Statistics

Because of their diverse backgrounds, experiences, and achievements -- as well as the toolkit they build through the innovative, real-world W. P. Carey curriculum -- our MBA candidates bring a wealth of skills to any team within any organization. Their foundational knowledge, flexibility, leadership development, and drive help our Full-time MBA students deliver one of the highest placement rates among U.S. business schools.

Within three months of graduation, 90.8% of students in the W. P. Carey Full-time MBA Class of 2013 accepted employment, up from 89.4% in 2012. Overall compensation levels were little changed, with a general trend toward modest increases in mean and modest decreases in median salary and signing bonus.

Students, potential employers, and the Graduate Career Center work together diligently to find the best fit for internships: Does it match your objectives? Will it advance a student's career goals?

A required MBA internship takes place the summer between the first and second year of study for full-time MBA students, and lasts approximately 12 weeks. Before and after the summer internship, students participate in a 360-degree feedback process to define additional personal and professional development goals.

Beginning with the 2013 statistic year (Class of 2014), internship data were collected and processed through the MBA-CSC database. Consistent with this change, income data below are reflected as monthly compensation, not hourly wages as reported in previous years.
