U.S. News & World Report Ranks W. P. Carey School Among Best MBA Programs

TEMPE, Ariz. — U.S. News & World Report ranks the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University high in its newly unveiled edition of “America’s Best Graduate Schools.” The school is ranked at No. 29 on the prestigious list of “Best Business Schools,” making it the only Arizona school on the Top 50 list this year.

“The W. P. Carey MBA program offers a personalized experience with small class sizes and exceptional faculty members,” says W. P. Carey School of Business Dean Robert Mittelstaedt. “We are proud that the school consistently performs well in national rankings for both graduate and undergraduate programs, but the rankings just confirm we have great people and that we’re changing lives through education.”

Both the quality and number of students at the W. P. Carey School of Business have steadily increased in recent years. Internationally acclaimed faculty members include a Nobel Prize winner, a New York Times best-selling business author and an expert repeatedly asked to testify before Congress to advise legislators about the current economic crisis.

In addition to the new overall ranking for the W. P. Carey MBA – Full-time Program, U.S. News & World Report also ranked several of the school’s other programs on its business “specialties” lists. The evening MBA program came in at No. 24 among “Part-time MBA” programs, the only Arizona school on that list. Also ranked highly on departmental “specialties” lists are the school’s supply chain/logistics program at No. 5, information systems at No. 15 and accounting at No. 25 in their respective fields nationwide.

The W. P. Carey School of Business has achieved many other high rankings over the past year. The undergraduate program was ranked as the nation’s No. 25 “Best Business Program” by U.S. News & World Report. The school was named No. 22 in North America and No. 25 in the world for business school research productivity in a new count from the University of Texas at Dallas. High marks from various publications also went to the school’s accounting, health sector management, information systems, marketing and production/operations management programs.
