Visiting Scholars Program

Visiting Scholars are advanced doctoral students or faculty members from other Centers for Service around the world who spend a semester with us. They also make presentations in our marketing research seminar series (but are not listed there to avoid unnecessary redundancy).

Fall 2006

Kimmy ChanKimmy Chan holds a bachelor degree in the Business Administration of Marketing and she is now a third-year PhD student of the University of Hong Kong. Prior to entering the doctoral program, she worked for two years as a research assistant in the Department of Marketing at the University of Hong Kong. She joins our program in the W. P. Carey Department of Marketing as a visiting scholar. Her research interests focus on the roles of customers and employees in delivering services, including customers’ role as a co-producer, the love relationship that customers built with the employees, and also the failures and recovery on services delivery. Her work has been presented in scholarly conferences and her papers are being under reviewed in leading marketing and services journals including Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Consumer Marketing. She has received Marketing Education Fund and Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fellowship Awards for her existing research.
