The Honors Marketing Experience

The Marketing Department is pleased to participate in Business Honors by providing unique opportunities to Marketing Honors students.

  • Compete Through Service Symposium

Each fall the Marketing Department and the Center for Services Leadership at ASU invite Honors Marketing students to attend a morning session of the annual “Compete Through Service” Symposium that is held at the Ritz-Carlton in Phoenix.

The Center for Services Leaderships’ largest services event of the year, the symposium brings in senior executives from leading companies to discuss services issues that exist in today’s marketplace. The event is attended by mid-level to senior executives from a host of different companies located here in Arizona as well as across the U.S.

The objectives of the symposium are to help participants understand how to build a company-wide service orientation, to identify obstacles to delivering quality services and ways to overcome them, to learn how to balance cost-effectiveness, profits, and service, and to understand internal and external customers' services needs.

Students get to hear great speakers, mingle with executives, and have lunch with a key note speaker. Look for the invitation to arrive via email in October.

  • Marketing Honors Spring Luncheon

Each spring the Marketing Department hosts the Honors Marketing Executive Luncheon. The event will enable you to interact with executives from several leading companies as well as fellow Marketing Honors students in an informal setting. Invitations will arrive via email in March.

Honors Marketing Advisory Board

The goal of the Honors Marketing Advisory Board is to provide input to the Department of Marketing about the Honors Marketing Experience. This is your chance to suggest and help plan unique events to help foster interaction among students and executives. If you are interested in participating on the Board, please contact Dr. Amy Ostrom.

If you have questions about Honors Marketing or would like to bat around thesis ideas, contact Dr. Amy Ostrom, the Honors Coordinator for the Marketing Department.
