Management Ranks Among the Best

Students at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels gain the most current and relevant knowledge of management practice and theory from esteemed faculty who are both excellent scholars and teachers. ASU faculty rank 1st place internationally in the number of leading textbooks in all areas of management. In a recent update of a study originally published in the Academy of Management Journal (Dennis, et al., 2001), ASU's department of management climbed to 3rd place internationally in research performance in top journals, up from 21st place. We are also ranked 3rd place internationally in the number of most cited management scholars. Our faculty members have also won numerous local and international teaching awards, including citations in the prestigious Business Week's listing of the best MBA professors.

The recently revised management major develops team-skilled, collaborative leaders with the capability to think strategically, solve people and process problems, and communicate in a project-oriented, digital environment. Our graduates are prepared for leading change in a world characterized by speed, increasing demands for enhancing the value chain through continuous process improvements, growing technological sophistication, and racial, cultural, and gender diversity in the workforce. Management majors are prepared to do good while doing well.
