Bachelor of Science in Management

W. P. Carey management faculty members publish more leading textbooks in management than any other management faculty in the world. They also have won many local and international teaching awards. In a recent update of research rankings, the Department of Management jumped to 3rd place internationally in research performance in top journals. The intellectual capacity represented by this climb in research rankings has been translated into dramatic curriculum revisions that are expected to further improve future rankings of the undergraduate program. The Management major is currently ranked 24th nationally by U.S. News & World Report.

The recently revised Management major develops team-skilled, collaborative leaders with the capability to think strategically, solve people and process problems, and communicate in a project-oriented, digital environment. Our graduates are prepared for leading change in a world characterized by speed, increasing demands for enhancing the value chain through continuous process improvements, growing technological sophistication, and racial, cultural, and gender diversity in the workforce. Management majors are prepared to do good while doing well.

Majors are encouraged to complete specialized certificates such as: Dealership Management, Small Business & Entrepreneurship, Quality Analysis, and International Business as well as becoming part of the Business Honors Program. W. P. Carey management graduates have the skills to be recruited by management consulting firms, high-tech firms, service and manufacturing firms, for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and large and small organizations. These employers will recruit Management graduates for challenging trainee positions or entry-level management positions and immediately benefit from their preparation.
