Orientations

Your program begins with a four-day on-campus orientation at Arizona State University. Though you complete your studies from the convenience of your home or office, the online MBA program is a truly collaborative experience. The first-year orientation is the foundation upon which your team relationships are built.

First-year Orientation

The online program kicks off with an orientation held at ASU's Tempe campus. This orientation is a required four-day event that includes an introduction to the W. P. Carey School of Business, faculty-led presentations and team-building activities.

Many orientation events are held on the Tempe campus, where you meet your fellow students in a suitably academic environment. You also meet the support staff who will assist you throughout the program and become familiar with the unique technologies used to deliver your online curriculum.

During the course introductions, you meet and interact with the same W. P. Carey professors that teach your courses for the coming year. Faculty members personally present course overviews and review class policies such as deadlines, grading and contact methodologies unique to the online learning environment.

Various social gatherings and experiential team activities in the orientation get you acquainted with your online MBA colleagues and open up networking channels. Your accommodations, transportation to and from orientation activities, and most meals are provided by the W. P. Carey School.
