The MBA/MSE Electrical Engineering degree is an online program that requires 56 credit hours of study over three years, including eight courses from the MBA program and eight courses from the MSE program.
Additional Information
The MBA/MSE Electrical Engineering program features:
- Initial on-campus orientation providing interaction with student cohort and faculty
- Lockstep MBA curriculum—students enter and take all MBA courses as a group
- Courses taught in sequence with all required interaction taking place online
- Flexible choices of six focused electrical engineering tracks: control systems; electric power and energy systems; electronic and mixed-signal circuit design; electromagnetics, antennas, and microwave circuits; signal processing and communications; and solid-state electronics
- Culminating experiences which help students integrate course information across the curriculum—a capstone course for the MBA and a comprehensive exam for the MSE (for more information, see the Department of Electrical Engineering Graduate Studies site
)
- Start dates which begin in either January or July of each year. Review upcoming application deadlines and admissions processes.
Application Process
Admissions committees from the two schools individually review applications and provide recommendations to the ASU Graduate College. Recommendations are made independently based on established requirements and criteria for each school.
Entrance to the program is contingent upon the student meeting all normal requirements of the Graduate College, as well as the competitive admissions requirements of the W. P. Carey MBA and the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering MSE in Electrical Engineering program.
Only one application is necessary for both programs, and it must include answers to three essay questions and a current resume. In addition, two letters of reference and official transcripts should be submitted directly to the ASU Graduate College.
