Program Overview
The W. P. Carey MBA – Online Program delivers a two-year, 48-credit hour graduate management curriculum via the Internet. Using web-based distance learning technology, you'll access course material at your convenience, wherever and whenever you have an Internet connection.
This is a proven, successful degree program. We began offering our MBA degree online in the year 2000. Since then, over 20 cohorts of students have graduated, earning a W. P. Carey MBA degree identical to the degree earned in our nationally-ranked full-time, evening, and executive MBA programs.
The W. P. Carey MBA is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). AACSB accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools, and it is the only accreditation recognized by the US Department of Education for graduate business programs.
Format
The online MBA program uses a 22-month, focused format consisting of 12 courses. You take one course at a time. Each course is six weeks long, taken consecutively with one-week breaks between courses. You learn with a cohort of peers—a constant set of fellow students that you continually interact with.

Orientations
You begin your studies with a required five-day, on-campus orientation here at ASU's Tempe campus. The following year, most students choose to participate in an optional two-day, second-year orientation.
