Diversity in the MBA

The W. P. Carey School thrives because of its students, who bring a diverse combination of cultures, ideas, backgrounds, and professional experiences into the classroom. Ours is a learning environment that embraces the exchange of ideas among diverse students and faculty, making for a richer experience to prepare for business in a global context.

Our commitment is underscored by an overall diversity initiative championed by Arizona State University, seeking to build excellence, enhance access, and have an impact on our community, state, nation and the world. ASU is committed to these ideals and to creating an environment that fosters inclusion, respect, community, and appreciation.

International Students

The W. P. Carey MBA is composed of a diverse student body from many countries, including China, Turkey, Canada, and India. International students make up about a quarter of our entering class. The team environment fostered by the school provides the opportunity for international students to develop a broader network early in the program.

Because of the number of international students who attend W. P. Carey each year, our MBA program offers scholars not only exposure to the way business is done in countries around the world, but also insight into cultures from all over the globe.

Carey MBA is designed to be flexible in order to meet the diverse experiences and career goals of our students, many of whom pursue an MBA with non-business backgrounds, including health and medicine, non-profit organizations, communications, and government.

Scholarships

A wide variety of scholarships is made available each year for students studying business. Once you are admitted to the W. P. Carey MBA program, you are automatically considered for scholarships and graduate assistantships.
