MBA Ambassadors

The MBA Ambassadors support the primary functions of both the W. P. Carey MBA Admissions and Student Services departments. A unique characteristic of the W. P. Carey admissions process is its direct involvement of current MBA students. MBA Ambassadors assist the Admissions Office in selecting successful W. P. Carey MBA candidates. MBA Ambassadors assist the Student Services Office with transitioning accepted students into the program and building community throughout their academic careers. This select group of current full-time MBA students must pass a rigorous interview-based selection and training sequence.

Duties of the MBA Ambassadors include:

• Mentor applicants throughout the application process
• Co-conduct applicant interviews and assist with admissions decisions
• Facilitate campus visit activities such as classroom visits, lunches and campus tours with full-time prospective students and applicants
• Respond to admissions inquiry e-mails and correspondence
• Contribute to the monthly W. P. Carey MBA Newsletter
• Participate in roundtable discussions concerning on-going Admissions and Student Services processes
• Participate in Preview Day, Decision Weekend, MBA Commencement and Orientation activities
• Assist in annual critique of the W. P. Carey MBA application process

MBA Ambassador Application

This application is available to current students during the first month of the academic year. The process requires students to prepare essays and interview. Students will be notified of their selection by the admissions committee.

Prospective Student Mentorship

The MBA Ambassadors provide mentorship to all applicants accepted to the full-time program. During the application process, prospective students should feel free to contact any of the MBA Ambassadors with questions pertaining to the W. P. Carey MBA student experience.
