International / Off-site Electives

The W. P. Carey MBA Program offers a number of off-site and international electives. Such electives broaden your exposure to business concepts outside the traditional classroom in a hands-on learning environment consistent with today's global economy.

International Electives

Overseas electives provide you with the ability to explore business topics within the context of an international business, cultural and political environment. Courses are designed with a specific functional focus and are centered on a geographic region. New courses and locations are regularly developed.

Most international electives are scheduled during breaks between terms to minimize conflicts with other courses. You have the opportunity to complete some coursework prior to the international portion of the class. The international portion typically lasts seven to 12 days.

International electives have been offered in the following locations:

  • Southeast Asia – Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam
  • Europe – France and Spain
  • Europe – Austria and the Czech Republic
  • The Balkans - Bosnia and Herzegovina and Greece
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Australia
  • China – Beijing and Shanghai
  • India
  • Argentina
  • Peru
